My system specs are basically the same as yours and I'm running a clean install of Win 7.
I've been on NI's support and community forums and all indications is that Acid can not handle some of the NI instruments because Acid is not a 64 bit software. I have frequent crashes and memory issues, particularly when using Drum Lab and other instruments that require Kontakt. I use NI's Komplete Kontrol S61 and my DAW is Acip Pro 7.
